First, got the machine hooked up, and the torch assembled.

Next, got a piece of 16ga, 1 inch tube and grinded off the scale.

First attempt ended in utter failure.

Tungsten was balling, and foot control was not working properly. Couldn't control amperage.

Went back and discovered I had my leads backwards and, I had 2t/4t backwards. Corrected that and attempted to fill in my mess.

With a freshly sharpened tungsten, started on the next side.

Well, looks 100% better, but, too cold.

Next side..

A bit too hot.

Will learn a bit more another day.

Discovered the foot pedal was indeed not working. Will be receiving a replacement next week.

Did a fee more quick test runs on 16ga plate.

Did a small project today, after my limited practice.

Welded a 2" fitting to the top of a keg.

Looks great, everything is stainless.
